 A Little Story About a Big Turnip

Grandie plants a turnip and it got so big that one day he decided to pull it out of the ground. It took all of them to pull it out, so Grandie called on Grannie, and they could not get it to come out, then Grannie called on Annie, and it still wouldn't come out. Then Annie called on Ruffie, they still couldn't get it out, then Ruffie called on Meowsie, and they still couldn't get it out. Finally, Meowsie called on Squeakie and they finally got it out.

 

I like the book because it is funny, and they all pull on each other instead of pulling on the turnip. I think other kids would like this book because it is colorful and funny."
